Microsoft's new Windows for new devices Windows 8 will be launched on October 26. The announcement was made at the Microsoft's Windows app festival in Bangalore.
In this Windows Apps fest, Microsoft has decided to stop its support for Windows XP in 2014, after its 20th anniversary. "However, Microsoft doesn't have any plans to kill Windows 7 as of now," said Bhaskar Pramanik, chairman, Microsoft India.
