In the latest of facebook scares, approx 2 lakh Facebook users in Bangalore have suffered due to hacking of their accounts. In fact, the hack attack has been reported worldwide. What even more shocking is that weblinks to their doctored pornographic pictures have been sent as feeds to friends and family. Many users have immediately deactivated their accounts after the hacking embarrassment.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has joined the online social networking with its Bhopal unit by joining Facebook to seek information from people on cases.

"The CBI Bhopal unit is the first one in India to join the Facebook social networking site on an experimental basis. If the response is good the other wings of the investigating agency will also open their own page in Facebook,' a CBI official told IANS.

TORONTO (Reuters) - The Bank of Canada considers Canada's three biggest banks "systemically important" on a national basis, it said on Friday in a report that could add to concerns about more stringent capital rules facing the sector.

Global regulators are considering imposing tighter capital rules for banks considered to be systemically important or "too big to fail", meaning their collapse would imperil the wider financial system.

No Canadian bank is believed to be on the radar screen of the global regulators, but many believe that Canada's bank regulator, the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, could impose tighter rules on domestic banks deemed key to the domestic sector.

New Delhi, Sep 30 (IANS) The prices of compressed natural gas (CNG) in the national capital will go up by Rs.2 per kg from Oct 1 2011

Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL), said CNG will cost Rs 32 per kg in Delhi from midnight tonight, as against Rs 30/kg at present.

CNG will cost Rs 2.30 per kg more -- at Rs 35.90/kg -- from midnight tonight, the company said in a press statement here.

This is the fifth increase in CNG prices this year and follows the Rs 3.14 per liter hike in petrol prices effected by fuel retail firms from September 16.
