It is called as the "Bharat Vyapar Bandh", It has been called for by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) on 1st December 2011.
The bandh will be observed in protest of the UPA government’s decision to allow 51% foreign direct investment (FDI) in multi-brand retail as well as 100% in single brand retail.
The state president of CAIT Delhi, Narender Madan, confirmed that five lakh traders will join the bandh.
