WINDOWS 8 LAUNCHED ON 26th OCTOBER 2012

Microsoft's new Windows for new devices Windows 8 will be launched on October 26. The announcement was made at the Microsoft's Windows app festival in Bangalore.

In this Windows Apps fest, Microsoft has decided to stop its support for Windows XP in 2014, after its 20th anniversary. "However, Microsoft doesn't have any plans to kill Windows 7 as of now," said Bhaskar Pramanik, chairman, Microsoft India.

 Here more then 3500 Developer take part in Microsoft's Windows 8 Apps Fest..

 Bhaskar Pramanik(Chairman of Microsoft India) said Windows AppFest will encourage budding developers, technology enthusiasts and entrepreneurs to innovate on the next generation Windows technology.

World's largest apps fest in Bangalore
The world's biggest fest for Windows 8 is open to the global developer community.
Developers from across the world have congregated to design, build, and test apps. Microsoft's on-site staff will assist the developers participating in the event.
Over 3,500 developers are taking part in the Windows AppFest, hosted by tech giant Microsoft, here as a ramp up to the general availability of Windows 8 next month.


 “We have today thousands of developers who’ll be coding for 18 hours in an attempt to set a Guinness World Record. I'm confident this milestone will reinforce India as the preferred destination for developing applications." -Bhaskar Pramanik, Chairman, Microsoft India


Guinness World Records congratulates developers for setting an official record for the Most Participants in a Software Development Marathon in one location. Thank you to all developers for participating in the Windows AppFest.
